Polypodium Leucotomos

Polypodium leucotomos extract (PLE) is the active ingredient in 360 Sun Shield.

Clinical studies have shown that PLE provides skin protection from UV radiation and prevents skin reactions to UV light.

Taking PLE has been shown to decrease UV-damage to skin exposed to the sun.

Polypodium leucotomos works at the cellular level to protect skin health, by reducing overall cell damage that comes from exposure to UV light.

BETA CAROTENE

Beta carotene converts in our body to Vitamin A and is important in preventing premature aging.

Vitamin A helps to reduce free radicals that break down collagen that contribute to fine lines and saggy skin.

It provides natural protection against sun-induced redness and has been shown to smooth wrinkles and encourage healthy skin cell production.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that can stop premature signs of aging in skin.

Healthy skin contains high concentrations of Vitamin C, as it’s important to collagen synthesis and protects against UV-induced damage.

Using topical products containing Vitamin C isn’t enough, as the presence of oxygen can degrade Vitamin C even before application to the skin.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant as it protects the skin by neutralizing free-radicals that damage our cells.

Free radicals are produced when your body breaks down food or is exposed to UV radiation.

Vitamin E is particularly effective at reducing oxidative damage to the skin when it’s used in conjunction with Vitamin C.

Vitamin B3

Niacin, also known as Vitamin B3, has been shown to be effective in providing immune protection.

Niacin does this by replenishing cellular energy, which also enables faster and more efficient DNA repair following sun exposure.

Niacin is water soluble and isn’t stored by the body.

Lycopene

Lycopene is a red pigment naturally found in tomatoes and is a known antioxidant.

Among the carotenoids, it’s the strongest scavenger of peroxygen radicals, making it an important defense mechanism in the human body.

Lycopene has been shown to stimulate collagen production, helping to improve skin firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

astaxanthin

Astaxanthin is an antioxidant naturally synthesized by a number of bacteria, microalgae, and yeasts.

It has potent anti-inflammatory properties and anti-aging effects.

Several clinical studies have shown that daily oral supplementation of astaxanthin improved pigmentation of the skin, reduced the formation of wrinkles, and improved elasticity and moisture content of the skin.
